Netherlands: Dutch continue consuming less beer
The Dutch Central Statistics Bureau announced on September 12 that the Dutch go on with drinking less beer as wine consumption is increasing.
The Dutch consumed in 2004, 78 litres of beer per person which is a 14 % decrease as compared to the 91 litres per person consumed in 1990. On the other side, wine consumption went up for the same time period by 40 % to 20.6 litres per person for 2004.
